RE: Inverter installer in Oregon?

Buy one on line. I purchased a 2000 watt Zantrex from Tweetys.com or 800-358 5894. Very good price, no tax, and no freight. I have purchased several things from them, and have been very happy. There is nothing better then a happy camper!

RE: Does anybody have UFO gas pusher

Just returned from a trip over Donner summit to Grayeagle and back in our new Rexhall on the UFO chasis. This road has sections that will shake your teeth out. It is diffrent then our old motorhome, and I need a few more miles to feel real comfortable with it. It did a very good job climbing the summit. Loved the way the trans will downshift on hills when the retard switch is on. We tested the brakes on our way home from picking it up when a pickup was sideways in front of us on the freeway. They will lock up 22.5 tires. Overall I am very happy with it.

RE: California Drivers license RV endorsement

I have a Calif class A license, and DMV just sent me a letter to remind me my medical card is up for renewal. In the letter they say if you have a fifth wheel travel trailer(no mention of weight). You must submit a medical examination form DL51, or a medical health questionnaire form DL 546. If you operate a housecar in excess of 40 feet you must submit a medical examination form DL 51, or a physicians health report form DL 546A. I do not know what I would do if the state was not protecting me from all you unhealthy drivers. As for me, as long as I can stand long enough, and see well enough to sign my credit card receipt I will be safe to drive for another two years.

RE: Did Anyone See the Special on the Winnebago Factory?

When we picked up our new Rexhall in May, we took a factory tour, and the man that gives the tour was off sick so Bill Rex gave us a tour. He told me if their was a warranty problem to find an independent shop. Unless their was no choice stay away from dealer shops, as they were nothing but problems. My past experiences with dealer shops have been bad at best. Kamper Kens friends will not touch my motorhome.

RE: How much would you pay for this coach & race car trl

This is something for someone that does the race circuit. If I was selling it I would find someone into racing and see if they know any websites or publications aimed at racing. E Bay may be a place someone looking for something like this might look.

WARNING brake lights on toad or trailer

I just wired in brake controller and four way plug. When testing I discovered there were no brake lights to trailer plug factory had wired in. If your motorhome has separate stop lights and turn signals you may need to install a taillight converter on the motorhome. Husky part # 13186. The shop I deal with had 3 in stock, and said this is very common.

RE: Did Anyone See the Special on the Winnebago Factory?

I saw it the first time around, at the time we were considering buying a new motorhome. After seeing the way the walls and roof snap together we were less then impressed. That show convinced us to purchase another Rexhall. Much better built.

RE: Why did you purchase a gas Class A?

We just purchased a new Rexhall on the UFC chasis, $23,000.00 more for diesel, the price of fuel, and miles driven made gas the only choice. The way Rexhall builds their motorhome I can crawl under the motorhome and stand up next to the engine. This will make maintance much easier. Love the disk brakes, on the way home a pickup drifted into the median and ended up sideways in front of us. Believe me the brakes work!

RE: Synthetic Oil

I have a new motorhome on the Workhorse UFO chasis, and it has 2000 miles on it. I called Workhorse about changing to synthetic oil, and they said there was no problems with warranty using synthetic, but once you switch they do not want you to change back.

RE: Good truck driver(s) experience

At times I think people have a death wish. Passing over double yellow, following so close the only way you can see them is their shadow if the sun is low. Hanging out in the lane next to a truck forever. I love the people that you pull over to let on, and they stay next to you and you have to speed up, or slow to get back over. Turning on your signal sometimes gives them the idea. When I pass someone I speed up and get clear as fast as safe. To many things can happen. I have had tires explode, and you do not want to be behind or next to one when they go. I am very aware of the tires on trucks I drive and check them often. I have had new tires go, or hit something laying on the road the first tire will pick it up, and the second tire will hit it. I have had things come into my lane that I could not avoid because of cars beside me.

RE: Glucosamine/Chondroitin Supplements-UPDATED Pg. 4

When you look at the label if you buy the ones that contain 1500 milligram per pill you will only have to take one per day. If you have a longs drug watch their sales. They just had a buy one, get one free and if you purchased $30.00 worth you can send in for a $10.00 rebate.

RE: Another use of my MH

We use ours as a guest bedroom when we have company, we can get up on our own schedule without worrying about waking them, and visa versa.

RE: Rexhall Motorhome

We just sold our 2000 Aerbus, and now are the proud owners of a 2008 Rexair. We picked it up at the factory, and took the factory tour. The person that gives the tour was off sick, and Bill Rex gave us the tour. He is a very down to earth man that takes pride in building a very strong comfortable motorhome. He has made the cuts needed to ride out this slowdown. If it is possible take a factory tour, you will be impressed. Enjoy your motorhome and ignore the people that tell you Rexair is going out of business. We can not wait until we retire at the end of the year so we can use ours more.

RE: overnights in truckstops

Unless there is a separate area for RV'S do not take a space in a truck stop. The lot may be half full at 5:00 PM, but spaces fill up later. Believe me, there are many more trucks then places to park, especially around large cities. Under the old rules I had the option of finding a quiet place and sleeping 4 hours and spending less time in truck stops. Now that the government has helped to protect you the 4 hour nap is counted on duty-you can not even log off if you stop for lunch. When you log off duty it has to be 10 hours. These changes made it harder to find a space. Ask the next truck driver if they would use a truck stop if they had a choice.

road insurance by resorts of distinction

My roadside insurance is currently through Good Sam, and it is up for renewal. I was going to switch to FMCA, but just received an offer from Resorts of Distinction for $59.95 per year. Can anyone tell me anyone tell me anything about their coverage? If I can have good coverage, and save $50.00 that puts just over 10 gal in my gas tank.

RE: Things left on the highway

Watched a load of 2 by 4's come off the front of a pickup lumber rack and land on the trunk of the car in front when the stop light changed, and the driver actually stopped instead of running the light. Have been known to dispose of old junk bendwrenches by scattering them on a road that traffic is not to fast, or heavy. Find a good place to watch from, and it will not take long for someone to stop and claim their treasure.

RE: Ford Neutral Tow Kit

We have an 03, and the dealer installed the directions on the top of the sun visor. If they are not there contact the dealer.

RE: overnights in truckstops

I have driven truck most of my life, after enough truckstop experiences I quit the highway and started driving dumptruck. You do not want to know some of the things and people I have seen. The drivers on the road learn which ones to stop at depending on what they are looking for. Unless there is a dedicated area for RV's with good security leave the truckstops to drivers that have no other choice but truckstops. When it is 2am and there is no place to park and 5 spaces are filled with RV's someone is not a happy camper.

RE: What Are Manufacturers Thinking?

if you want aerodamic look at Rexhall!!! Dual pane windows standard. When I picked up my new Rexair 2 weeks ago we took a factory tour, the man that normally gives the tour was off sick, so we were given the tour by Bill Rex. He is a very down to earth man, very easy to talk to. His two big things are building a strong motorhome, and to use his words clean. The smother the airflow the happier he is. He is building a 30' full slide prototype.
